Joe is a lifelong resident of Stanislaus County, born and raised in Hughson, California. With deep roots in our community. Joe has always been committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those around him. He earned his degree in Political Science from California State University Stanislaus, which laid the foundation for his understanding of civic duty and community engagement.

Joe and his wife, Margaret, have raised two daughters who graduated from Turlock High School. His family has continued to thrive in our community, with his eldest daughter now serving as the Assistant County Assessor for Stanislaus County after attending Saint Mary’s College. His youngest daughter, a proud University of California Santa Cruz graduate, works at her alma mater as a Web Developer Artist. Joe is also a devoted grandfather to five grandsons, three of whom are currently within the Turlock High School District.

For many years, Joe was a part-owner of a local family dairy farm, where he learned the values of hard work, perseverance, and the importance of supporting local agriculture. After retiring from farming, Joe found a new way to serve the community through his work at H&R Block Tax Service. He enjoys helping clients navigate their financial needs and appreciates the connections he’s made with his clients and co-workers.

Joe was appointed to the Turlock Unified School District (TUSD) School Board on July 5, 2023, and is now running for a full term. His experience, dedication, and deep ties to the community make him an ideal candidate to continue serving on the school board. Joe is passionate about ensuring that every student in the district has access to quality education and a supportive learning environment. He believes in listening to the needs of parents, students, and teachers to ensure we work together to create the best possible future for our Turlock students.
